Moon Sweepers Machines

Moon Sweepers has 19 things you can build or buy: 14 machines in the Build menu (Services, Logistics, Production, Power) and 5 vehicles in the Garage. Each row gives its cost, what it does and its power need.

Services
Capsule catcher
Capsule catcher
Services (robot support)$1,500Catches the capsules J.O.O.N.A.S. fires at it from anywhere on the Moon and sends their dust to the Collector, paid at once.No power need shown on its build panel (only machines that need power state a kW figure)
Robot vacuum Mk I
Robot vacuum Mk I
Services (robot)$250A dock whose robot cleans the 19 world hexes around it (2 rings), brings the dust home and the dock packs it into capsules onto a belt.No power need shown on its build panel (only machines that need power state a kW figure)
Services (robot)$20,000"Just One Overpriced Nonessential Automated Sweeper": a six-armed robot that cleans the whole Moon one hex at a time, always the nearest dusty hex, and fires its dust in capsules at the nearest Capsule catcher anywhere on the Moon.No power need shown on its build panel (only machines that need power state a kW figure)
Garage
Garage
Services (vehicles)$200Sells, stores and calls back your vehicles (one at a time in its hall); park a vehicle on its collector pad and it empties into the silo, whose two back ports send the dust out in capsules on belts. No power need shown on its build panel (only machines that need power state a kW figure)
Robot vacuum Mk II
Robot vacuum Mk II
Services (robot)$500Same as Mk I with a larger area: its robot cleans the 37 world hexes around the dock (3 rings) and the dock packs the dust into capsules onto a belt.No power need shown on its build panel (only machines that need power state a kW figure)
Logistics
Logistics$100Takes the dust in your tool when you press E at it and sends it out as capsules on a conveyor belt, so you do not walk loads back to the hub.No power need shown on its build panel (only machines that need power state a kW figure); one guide advises keeping it inside a solar panel’s range
Conveyor belt
Conveyor belt
Logistics$0.50 per metreCarries dust capsules between machines and into the hub; up to 30 m per placement, 0.4–6 m high (height with Ctrl + scroll).—
Splitter
Splitter
Logistics$5Divides one belt into two branches; it alternates outputs by itself (there is no switch).—
Merger
Merger
Logistics$5Joins two belts into one; since 1.0.4 it alternates between its inputs.—
Production
Production$500Presses moon dust into moon sand, up to 5 kg every 12 s; sand sells for 3x dust.10 kW from solar panels in range
Production$1,000Fires 1 kg of dust and 1 kg of sand into a 2 kg moon stone block every 6 s; stone sells for 7x dust.18 kW
Power
Solar post (S)
Solar post (S)
Power$753 kW in full sun, fixed (face it toward the Sun); no battery; powers machines within 16 m wirelessly.3 kW (full sun) generated
Solar twin (M)
Solar twin (M)
Power$1507.5 kW in full sun, fixed; a 4 kWh battery for the night; powers machines within 24 m wirelessly.7.5 kW (full sun) generated
Solar tracker (L)
Solar tracker (L)
Power$30016 kW in full sun, turning to follow it; a 10 kWh battery for the night; powers machines within 34 m wirelessly.16 kW (full sun) generated
Garage
Push sweeper
Push sweeper
Garage — cleaning vehicle$300Walk-behind cleaning vehicle: a 1.35 m sweep and a 100 kg hopper.—
Ride-on sweeper
Ride-on sweeper
Garage — cleaning vehicle$1,000Drivable (sit-on) cleaning vehicle, the step after the Push sweeper.—
Lunar sweeper
Lunar sweeper
Garage — cleaning vehicle$2,500Drive it from the cab: three brushes sweep a 2.8 m strip into a 1,200 kg hopper.—
Mega vacuum rover
Mega vacuum rover
Garage — cleaning vehicle$6,000Six wheels and a 4 m front intake roller vacuum a 3.7 m strip into a 3,000 kg tank; Suction Control trades strip width for speed.—
Crew transport
Crew transport
Garage — vehicle (transport)$2,000A crew transport van for getting around the Moon; it does not clean.—

Build menu tabs and Garage vehicles

Every machine on this list comes from one of two places. The 14 machines are built with the Building tool, a $50 purchase at the Supply Wall that opens the Build menu. The 5 vehicles are bought inside a Garage, which is itself one of those machines ($200), and each player buys their own. Foundations, ramps and stairs in the Structures tab are building pieces, not machines, so they are left out.

  • Services: the cleaning robots (Robot vacuum Mk I and Mk II, J.O.O.N.A.S.), the Capsule catcher J.O.O.N.A.S. needs, and the Garage.
  • Logistics: Conveyor belt, Packager, Merger and Splitter move capsules toward the hub.
  • Production: the Pressure chamber makes sand and the Stone press makes stone, the two ways to sell dust for more.
  • Power: three solar panels that run the production machines; the larger two store power for the night.
  • Garage: four cleaning vehicles from the Push sweeper to the Mega vacuum rover, plus the Crew transport van.
