Moon Sweepers Conveyor Belt

Conveyor belts cost $0.50 per metre and reach 30 m per piece. They carry capsules from your collectors to machines or into a hub port, where the capsules are paid on arrival.

The conveyor belt is what turns collected dust into money without walking. A Packager, a Robot vacuum dock, the Garage silo and the Capsule catcher all put capsules on a belt, and the belt carries them to a machine input or into the hub. Since 1.0.3 capsules that reach the hub by belt are paid as they arrive. Belts draw no power, and a full 30 m piece costs $15.

How to run a conveyor belt into the hub

  1. Start the belt at the collector's output and follow the arrows away from it.
  2. Extend it in pieces of up to 30 m, checking the direction every time you add one.
  3. Finish it inside a receiving port on the hub; a belt that stops short leaves the capsules piled at its end.
  4. Wait for the first capsules to arrive and check that your balance goes up before you add another machine.

If the money does not move, follow one capsule from the collector and fix the first place it stops.

Conveyor belts per hub and belt height

One player guide counts at most 12 belts into a single hub and calls that the main bottleneck of a large factory, so join branches with a Merger before they reach the hub. Belts can sit from 0.4 to 6 m high; hold Ctrl and scroll to raise one over another, and the two stay separate until you add a Merger. Since 1.0.4 removing a belt no longer drops its capsules under the foundations.
