Moon Sweepers Solar Post (S)

The Solar post (S) is the smallest solar panel: $75 for 3 kW in full sun, sent wirelessly to machines within 16 m. It has no battery, so it stops at night.

The Solar post is a fixed panel on a pole. Face it toward the Sun and it powers every machine within 16 m without cables. Of all the machines, only the Pressure chamber (10 kW) and the Stone press (18 kW) show a power need on their build panels, so posts matter once you start making sand or stone.

Four Solar posts cover one Pressure chamber's 10 kW in daylight

How many Solar posts each machine needs

  • Pressure chamber (10 kW): four posts, $300, and two of them give only 6 kW.
  • Stone press (18 kW): six posts, $450.

Four posts cost the same as one Solar tracker (L), which gives 16 kW, reaches 34 m and stores power for the night. Posts are only the better buy when you are a few kilowatts short.

Solar post at night

With no battery, a Solar post gives nothing after sunset, so a machine running only on posts stops every night. For a line that should keep going, add a Solar twin (M) with its 4 kWh battery or a Solar tracker (L) with 10 kWh.
