Moon Sweepers Solar Tracker (L)

The Solar tracker (L) is the largest solar panel: $300 for 16 kW in full sun, a 10 kWh battery and a 34 m range. It turns to follow the Sun, and builders use it to keep production running at night.

The Solar tracker is the panel to buy once you make sand and stone. For the price of four Solar posts it gives 16 kW instead of 12, reaches 34 m instead of 16 and stores 10 kWh for the dark. It turns to follow the Sun on its own, so it needs no aiming.

Solar tracker (L)Pressure chamber

One Solar tracker covers a Pressure chamber by day; two last the night

Solar tracker (L)Stone press

A Stone press needs two Solar trackers by day and three through the night

How much power each machine needs

Only two machines show a power need on their build panels, and neither works without it.

  • Pressure chamber, 10 kW: one tracker by day, two to last the night.
  • Stone press, 18 kW: two trackers by day, three to last the night.
  • A catcher block of 2 chambers and 5 presses: about 16 to 18 trackers, two per machine plus spares.

The night counts come from two builders' working factories, not from an official figure.

Solar trackers through the night

Daylight output is only half the job. After sunset the trackers run the machines from their batteries, and once those are empty the line stops until morning. A factory that works all day and stalls at night usually needs more trackers, not new machines, so check the stored charge first.
